Natural diamonds are formed through geological processes deep within the Earth over an extraordinary period of time.

They are mined, cut and polished before being selected for use in fine jewellery.

For many clients, the natural origin, rarity and individual history of a natural diamond form an important part of its appeal.

Created Through Advanced Technology

Laboratory-grown diamonds are created under controlled laboratory conditions using technology that recreates conditions under which diamond crystal can develop.

Tesha Jewels offers selected CVD — Chemical Vapour Deposition — laboratory-grown diamonds.

Laboratory-grown diamonds have essentially the same crystal structure and fundamental physical and optical properties as natural diamonds, but their origin is different.

They should therefore always be clearly identified as laboratory-grown.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?

The fundamental distinction is origin.

NATURAL DIAMOND

Formed naturally through geological processes within the Earth.

LABORATORY-GROWN DIAMOND

Created in a controlled laboratory environment using advanced technology.

Both can be cut, polished and graded for characteristics such as colour and clarity.

Their origin, market characteristics, availability and pricing can differ significantly.

Tesha Jewels will clearly identify whether the diamond you are purchasing is Natural or Laboratory-Grown.

The exact characteristics of an independently graded diamond should always be confirmed from its individual laboratory report.

There is no single answer that is right for every client.

A Natural Diamond may appeal to you if natural geological origin and rarity are important parts of what you value.

A Laboratory-Grown Diamond may appeal if you prefer a different balance of size, specification and price.

The origin of a diamond sold as part of our jewellery will be clearly communicated as either:

CERTIFICATION

Every qualifying Tesha Jewels Gold or Platinum jewellery product includes our:

Where available and requested, eligible diamonds may also receive independent grading/certification from laboratories such as:

GIA · IGI · HRD Antwerp

Independent laboratory grading/certification is chargeable.

Availability, cost and turnaround time depend on the individual diamond and selected laboratory service.

NATURAL DIAMOND LASER INSCRIPTION

Where applicable, eligible:

Natural Diamonds of 0.18 Carat or Above Per Individual Stone

may be available with the Tesha Jewels identification / laser-inscription system.

Eligibility and inscription details will be confirmed for the individual diamond.
